The internet is, amongst other things, a time capsule. The blog posts Blake made about shooting both Strict Prison 4 and the machine whippings we’ve published recently are still available, and they make for fascinating reading.
We’ll be sharing more of their early-career thoughts on the experience in a few weeks time, when we’ve finished showing you the gorgeous material they produced. What’s caught our attention this week, though, is how the Blake of 2009 felt about the machine whippings themselves. What was it really like to do something so far removed from “normal” spanking, for the very first time?
As we’ve discussed these re-releases here in 2026, we’ve focussed mostly on the strange detachment that comes with being spanked by a machine rather than a person. For Blake in the moment, however, the biggest thing wasn’t that so much as the suspense of not knowing, and the sensation itself.
Everyone knows a cold caning is going to be severe. But what can one expect from an entirely new way of being whipped? “I waited there while the machine was tested”, Blake said in a blog post made shortly after the event, “[and it was] making the most awful sounds. I flinched as it whipped the air for the test shots. Not having any way of knowing what to expect, the anticipation was definitely the worst part.”
The rubber singletails the machine used stung like hell, and left the most incredibly clear marks striped across every body part they hit. The back whipping we’ve released this week, in particular, was a struggle for 2009 Blake to receive: a cold, sharp pain, their face pressed into the rough wood as they pulled against their restraints. “At least my reactions were realistic”, they shared, as they reflected on the experience. “Prisoners aren’t meant to enjoy their punishments, after all.”
