For me the spanking genre has always been associated with alluring clothing, undergarments and hosiery. I’m sure that’s the case for a significant proportion of enthusiasts. In the older days Janus and its imitators regularly featured spanking models wearing superb clothing and underwear. Quite where these associations originate in us I don’t know, but those old paper publications certainly fuelled and catered for the interest.

Definitely. It’s all about the lingerie. I think it’s common to all “fetish” genres that nudity is sometimes the least exciting thing! For me it’s about suggestiveness, adornment and decoration. And costume that implies a time period, narrative or storyline.
I love that you mentioned Janus, I do quite often aim to recapture some of that classic, vintage feel… I think Leia Ann Wood’s WREN photoset is probably the closest I’ve got so far 🙂
Yep. Those perceptions on what could be a called the teasing style in dress and attire are spot on. On the Janus thing, I think that beautiful set of photos of you and Thomas in ‘Over the boss’s knee’ capture quite a bit of that Janus feel too. It was always the best produced of the mags in the CP genre in my view.
