The Isle of Man is a singular place: part of the British Isles but not within the United Kingdom, deeply connected to both mainlands but governed by neither. I remember being highly aroused by a front page headline in the Sun, in 1976, exclaiming: ‘BIRCH GIRL THUGS!’

An MP (I think) had advocated this, being aware that some girls could be as violent and badly behaved as boys, and, after all, they were clamouring for equal treatment generally.
(I wonder if the birching of girls was ever discussed on the IoM? The idea certainly felt very fascinating and erotic to me)
It would, now, for me, be an interesting erotic fantasy video to have a boy and girl sentenced to the birch on the IoM and have to go through the humiliating procedure together, and being witnesses to each other’s degradation and shame.
