There are plenty of ways to make a punishment embarrassing – but when you’ve got an audience, there’s nowhere left to hide. That’s what Bambi discovers this week, when Denali books her and Vic a session with a pro-Domme as an anniversary gift.
At first, Bambi is having fun: she gasps, giggles, and luxuriates in the centre of attention while Blake shows Vic a few new tricks. But the lesson keeps progressing. The strokes get harder; the implements get meaner; Bambi begins to find that she must work for her composure. By the end she’s stumbling, struggling to stay in position, her knees buckling under the final blows. That gradual transformation is part of the pleasure of this film – not a sudden switch from play to suffering, but Bambi’s slow discovery of her limits.
And through all of it, she keeps looking back to Vic. Vic holds her submissive’s gaze while Blake spanks her; later, Vic herself takes the strap and delivers the hardest strokes under Blake’s mischievous instruction. Hiring a Domme brings novelty, expertise and the undeniable thrill of letting someone new into their play, but it can’t eclipse what was already there.
The wonderfully tender moment between Vic and Bambi, when the punishment is over, is what makes the whole scene click into place. Bambi may have spent the afternoon exposed in front of everyone, but the person at the heart of it was always her Mistress.
