Eleven years ago, when they were still at school, Lucie let her best friend Eryn take the fall (and the tawse, and the cane) for something she did. They’re both adults now, and they’re both still involved in school life as fundraisers and alumni – but their friendship never recovered, and Lucie has never really forgiven herself for her cowardice.
