The School Bursar’s New Position

It takes a village to run a school, and Miss Havering’s is no exception. Alongside the teachers, the gardeners, the secretaries and the occasional giggling ingénue there’s a whole clerical staff – at least one of whom is interested in supplementing her income over the coming holidays. But at what cost?

Long accustomed to the disciplinary tactics employed by Miss Havering on school grounds, young school bursar Miss Prentice assumed she knew what to expect when informed that something similar was enforced in the Headmistress’s domestic life. She soon learns however that Havering has another score to settle, and plenty of inventive implements to do it with!
