A Painful Punishment Afternoon

It’s the school’s regularly scheduled Punishment Afternoon, and we’re sorry to say that there’s a veritable throng of naughty pupils queued up outside the Headmaster’s office: three canings, a paddling, one for the hairbrush and two for the plimsoll. How on earth will he fit them all in? Never fear – his trusty Deputy Headmistress has a mean tennis arm, and she’s all too keen to take over the two longest and hardest punishments to spare the Headmaster his aching shoulders.

She wants to reassure him, of course. How hard will her caning be, exactly? What will she use to get the job done? How much experience does she have? Her answers are certainly to his satisfaction – as they will be to yours, once the two teachers get lost in a little reverie about Punishment Afternoons past. It’s almost worth getting detention for. The Deputy herself certainly seems to think so…
