For his own good

As a studio, we’ve never shied away from telling intense stories or exploring taboo fantasies. Parent/child pairings are a popular spanking fantasy dynamic, and they’re pretty common in our films; we’ve done a lot of shoots featuring wayward teenagers being set straight by their strict, traditional families.

There’s something a little special about this week’s addition to that cannon, though. The co-parenting couple played by Stephen Lewis and Kelley May in I’m Sorry We Let It Get To This aren’t distant or harsh, and they don’t seem to do this often or resort to spanking for every little infraction. Rather, the belting they give to Richard McLean is something of a last resort for them - and they’re both juxtaposingly loving and gentle as it’s administered, talking him through it stroke by stroke and reminding him that this is all for his own good.

In a way, the overall effect of this scene is actually darker than some of our shoutier and stricter fictional families. It stirs up something almost primal within the viewer; it’s uncanny-valley-close to the way a real loving parent might speak to a teenager they were concerned for. And of course that’s exactly what makes it so hot - they’re doing this for him, after all. This spanking is entirely for his own benefit, and they’re getting nothing out of it themselves. It hurts them to see him in pain, in fact. They’re sorry it came to this.

An uncommon detention

Our new video The New Head Girl is a school spanking story, and it's a bit of an odd one.


First, some facts: this is the last scene from our two day shoot with Caroline last year. It's the first scene we ever filmed in which I wasn't performing in at all, freeing me up to be behind the camera: the inept handheld camera work is all mine. (This was my first try - all part of the learning curve.) And I think it was the first switch scene we shot too, in the sense of a scenario in which the same character both tops and bottoms; in this case, the new Head Girl.

When I wrote this scene, I was most interested in the tension between the shy new Head Girl and the bolshy, cynical school rebel. Adele and Caroline played that out to perfection; but watching the scene unfold also revealed some aspects I hadn't anticipated.

It's long, for one thing: 26 minutes. An implement tour always takes a while, doubly so with both Adele and the Housemaster, played by Thomas, both using each of hairbrush, ruler, tawse and cane on the hapless Caroline. (A comparable scene is A Taste of their Own Medicine, in which Head Girl Zoe gives two prefects a tour of all the implements they've mis-used during their disciplinary reign of terror.)

The extended nature of the scene contributes to the biggest thing I didn't really anticipate: how dark it is. Caroline's remark, "This is detention, not The Beating Hour!" is bang on. She is whacked to an extent that's actually a bit surreal. It's hot, I think, but if you need your school stories to be uber-believable this might go too far.

Then there's the question of fairness. I wasn't sure whether to tag this scene as 'fair' or 'unfair', so I went for both. The premise that Caroline is the naughtiest girl in the school and deserves everything she gets initially feels a little stretched. She's witty and sympathetic, and the punishment quickly feels excessive. But you don't actually find out what she's done until late in the scene. What starts out seeming like a horribly unfair ordeal perhaps, by the end, makes a little more sense.

Adele, too, plays a sympathetic character: the Head Girl who can't bring herself to exert discipline. Administering punishment to Caroline is almost a punishment for Adele in itself - she's not having any fun, and Caroline's jibes only make her feel worse. It therefore seems doubly cruel that when Adele is deemed not to be applying herself, she has to endure the same treatment.

There's definitely a moral ambiguity here. The Housemaster's claim that the Head Girl needs the strength of mind to do her duty sounds plausible, but does she really need to be punished in front of Caroline? By the end, Adele may have learned some physical skills at Caroline's expense, but it's not clear that she's any better mentally equipped to exert authority. I think that hint that the whole exercise may have been in vain is one of the most sinister aspects of this scene.

But mixed in with all of that is the fact that thanks to the wit of all three performers, this video is funny - far funnier than I'd expected. Caroline's jaded comebacks are laugh-out-loud witty; her bored expressions while being beaten are priceless. The hostility between the goody-two-shoes Head Girl and the naughtiest girl in the school is beautifully played out, from trading snide remarks to making faces at each other behind the Housemaster's back. A lot of the humour is dark ("What are you going to do - hit me?") but it still lightens the mood. There's levity, too, when the Housemaster and Caroline start trading reminiscences about her more outrageous misdemeanours, and you realise that he's not entirely unsympathetic to her cause, after all.

Whether you read this scenario as dark, light or something inbetween, it offers a fascinating interplay between three of my best actors. Combining M/F and F/F, it's chock-full of spankings from a range of implements, mild to severe. There are some brilliantly funny bits, but I'm hoping it's edgy enough to appeal to the hard punishment fans. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Crying while topping

The last scene from Jimmy Holloway's first ever spanking shoot has just gone up: Punishment by Proxy. It's a squirmy, awful little scene which we had a LOT of fun making.

Neither of us had really spanked someone before, so having to spank each other was a punishment in itself. We both felt self-conscious and embarrassed. If we'd actually been hurting each other in a way the other didn't want we'd have been appalled, so it didn't take much acting to exaggerate our innate sense of empathy and horror of doing harm.

The juiciest, horriblest bit of this edgy scene, for me, was the way that both of us tried to be ever so brave during our spankings, to try and protect each other. So in each spanking it was the spanker that was suffering most visibly, while the spankee hid their face and tried to be as stoic as possible. Crying while topping: may in fact be my new favourite kink.

Fun facts:

1. This film wins the prize for the highest number of categories so far - F/F, F/M and M/F!

2. The pad with the bristles on actually flew out of the Mason & Pearson brush while Zoe was spanking me - twice. The first time is captured in the out takes at the end of the movie, and the second time it happened we kept rolling and went with it. Although I'd have quite liked to do this scene with a wooden hairbrush, I didn't think it was fair to inflict that on Jimmy on his first shoot; and given his hip problems, we were better off not trying. I can assure you that the Mason & Pearson can pack a real wallop, and has made me struggle over Tom's lap on many occasions.

The other reason this film is special to me is the behind the scenes video. At the end of the day, since we had a little time left, Zoe asked Jimmy if he'd like another six with the cane to round things off. He seemed keen on the idea, if somewhat nervous. She didn't go light on him, either, and he took them very well indeed. The whole little scene was entirely unplanned and unscripted, and it was lovely to watch Zoe and Jimmy just enjoying the chance to play a little more while they had the chance.

F/M films: a new approach

The latest update is our first F/M video, a 20 minute schoolboy film called Non-violent Resistance. It stars Jimmy Holloway and Sebastian Hawley as the sixth form's bright young rebels (AKA mouthy know-it-alls), and me as their young, inexperienced form teacher. When the boys combine their tech skills to sabotage the school's new intrusive CCTV network as an act of protest, I have no choice but to punish them - despite sympathising with their political ideals.

This film is a first attempt at something I've been thinking about for a while. I wanted to produce F/M video with a difference:

  • The script is believable with an element of mutual justification. The boys are the 'heroes' of the piece - strong characters acting out of a sense of personal honour. They are articulate, with interesting things to say, and their actions and motivations are understandable.
  • This isn't just arbitrary punishment: it's the inevitable result of an interesting and hopefully plausible situation. The story is one of activism, political principles, boundaries, authority and personal responsibility. 
  • Both boys are physically attractive with young, toned bodies. They are eye candy and highly spankable.
  • Jimmy and Sebastian are confident, expressive actors and the camera shows them off to good effect. During the spankings we see their faces and reactions as much as their bottoms.

Speaking of facial expressions I noticed a cool thing while I was editing. Watching it frame by frame, it becomes very clear. During his caning, Jimmy's studied expression of sullen nonchalance lasts several frames after the cane lands.

The pain doesn't arrive on his face until a moment later.

You always hear about there being the space of a heartbeat before a cane's impact and becoming aware of the sensation, but I've never noticed it captured so clearly on film before!

The other thing I noticed while I was editing was quite how much my topping skills have improved since we filmed this. The OTK spankings aren't the hardest or the longest ever, and after the event I thought of dozens of arch put-downs with which to quell my mouthy students. But hopefully it doesn't matter too much, because my inexperience makes sense within the story.

For ages I've wanted to see F/M where the male spankees were just as hot and interesting, given just as much personality and screentime, as the female spankees are in my favourite spanking films. The traditional school scenario, with two troublemakers punished together, seemed an obvious starting place. So we have the two school pupils in detention, writing lines; over the teacher's knee, and bending over the desk for the cane; afterwards, comparing and exclaiming over each other's stripes. Classic motifs of spanking video all. But I'd never seen it done with schoolboys and a female teacher.

This is the sort of scene I love playing as a spankee. It's very much told from the boys' perspective. They are, after all, in the right: although they have broken the rules, by their teacher's own admission she agrees with their point of view. Too nervous and inexperienced to effectively impose authority, she fails to convince them by reason and unwillingly resorts to corporal punishment to keep order. My character in this scene ends up compromising her own stated principles, and it's the schoolboys who come out on top. Morally speaking, at least.
