It’s two for the price of one this week with Willow’s repeated misdemeanours (her knickers may be regulation, but her eyeshadow
certainly isn’t) seeing her hauled in front of the mortarboarded Headmistress for the umpteenth time. So far, so spanking-shoot - but just this once there’s an unexpected little twist...

Prefect Blake in this scene embodies a curiosity that a lot of us can identify with. I think many spanking fans had the “I wonder what that feels like” phase; mostly not from counting down the strokes administered to our fellow pupils, I suppose, but at least from watching illicit late-night movies with the volume turned down imperceptibly low on the bedroom TV.

The bit that most echoed my own life, though, was the ending: once she’s alone in the office Pandora smirks to the camera, satisfied and excited and relieved. She pulls down her trousers to inspect her marks, grins when she sees how red she is, hopes she’s left with a few lasting welts. I remember that feeling - the discovery and the excitement, the sense of a new desire finding its home inside me. For me it was a train platform in Stretham rather than the Head’s office, but it’s a moment I will remember for the rest of my life.

Of course, she’s not the only star of this week’s show. The ever-adorable Faerie Willow was a real trooper on set that day, and seeing the welts from her previous caning when she exposes her bottom for this scene is a real highlight. She’s got the ‘wayward teenager’ vibe down pat, doesn’t she? A Great British Tradition

Where once we had the camp, satirical Yes Prime Minister, now we have a neverending chain of Serious Dramas on Netflix filled with objectionably ambitious people who never laugh at themselves - and there’s little enough room for laughter in real life politics at present, either. If you’re mourning the days when there was space for brevity in our tumultuous political landscape, we’ve got the film for you; The Party Whip is a comedy piece in a hallowed British tradition. Nobody laughs at us as well as we laugh at ourselves - and if there’s a good solid flogging involved to boot, well then, more’s to the better!

Or so MP Lana Moon seems to think, anyway. Despite Pandora’s best efforts as Party Whip, the traditional heavy flogging with leather tails doesn’t quite seem to tame her; doubtless she’ll be stepping out of line again just as soon as she can.

And that’s the hottest thing about this scene too, actually - the barely-restrained glee of our Honourable Friends. This wry, joyous approach to punishment is made even clearer in the behind the scenes special we’ve released alongside the main film. Lana and Pandora clearly had a great time shooting this, even when trying to navigate the complexities of shooting porn in a post-COVID landscape. 

It would be easy to let the Januaryness of everything get you down at the moment, here in the midst of another national lockdown - so let The Party Whip cheer you up a little. It certainly did the job for me!

I wasn’t sure how I would get on with audio porn. As a writer, part of me loves the idea because I’m all about the sexy words - but I know I can be quite fussy about audiobooks. It’s all about the person reading them, the voice giving you the words. The wrong tone and the story is ruined. With the right voice though, it can be a wonderful experience. Audio porn allows you to use your imagination while listening, and it can be a great way to really put yourself in the scene, especially with the intimacy of earphones.

I shouldn’t have worried though. Pandora Blake, who narrates most of the audio stories on Dreams of Spanking, has a lovely voice that seems perfect for audio porn. Head Girl, written by Rosie Bower, is a smart sexy story that gives a twist to traditional school punishment scenes. Head Girl Julie learns she has to punish her friends for various misdemeanours. When her friends refuse to take the threat of her punishment seriously she finds herself getting angry, and decides to make them respect her authority as Head Girl.

The anger she feels gives Julie confidence in what she is doing, and she takes total control of the situation, forcing her friends' obedience to her will. What I really like about this spanking audio story is the way Rosie Bower shows us the thoughts of each person in the scene. It gives us an insight into what makes each character tick, and delves deep into their embarrassment, humiliation, indignation and other feelings about being punished by Julie.

My favourite punishment in this story was Liam’s, the cool guy who thinks he can get away with doing whatever he wants. The story takes on an extra dimension of hotness when it's revealed that despite himself, the humiliation of the situation is arousing him. His helplessness in the face of his body's betrayal and the way Julie uses it to embarrass him further is really hot. I adored Julie’s glee when she learns how much she enjoys administering punishment. There's a moment when she has to mentally remind herself that this exercise is about teaching Liam an effective lesson, and not about her pleasure. It's delightful - and it made me think that actually it seems very much about both.

As a whole, this story is equal parts hot and discomforting. A school story in which some cool, rebellious kids have to resentfully submit to punishment from their teachers' pet friend is one that many of us might be able to put ourselves into, one way or another. The fact that this is an unwanted punishment, which they still find arousing even as they hate it, creates a delicious tension. It also raises fascinating questions for me about about the psychology of punishment and humiliation.

I have to admit that the character I find myself identifying with the most was Julie. I love the way that she reflects on past resentments and jealousies to fuel her determination to carry the punishment through to its conclusion. And of course, I love dishing out a spanking and decorating a bare bum with marks that will leave a reminder to re-enforce the lesson - and the idea of doing so to my squirming friends who thoroughly deserve it is very appealing.

So my verdict on audio porn? I found this story super hot, and I enjoyed the process of listening to it more than I expected. I enjoyed imagining the scenario and Rosie Bower creates some enticing images that will stay with me. I loved was the image of the two girls bent over the desk, and of Liam bending over clutching his ankles, naked, embarrassed and unable to constrain his erection. So sexy.

A corporal punishment film with a seriously sexy twist

Confession: I like the words 'corporal punishment' possibly even more than I like the word 'spanking.' There's more tied up in the phrase than just the simple act of smacking someone on the bottom.

I'm not saying we should rename this site to 'dreams of corporal punishment'. The beauty of 'spanking' is that it encompasses so much – from the erotic spanking between two people who are achingly horny for each other to the cold, harsh punishment of master to servant, and even the experimental sadism of the mad scientist studying pain.

Corporal punishment, though, summons a specific kind of institutional discipline, with rituals, traditions and rules. This week's unusual corporal punishment film has exactly that – but with a twist that I think makes it way more compelling.

Mike Pain plays a strict headmaster, with very precise and firm ideas about discipline. Pandora tells me that the idea for this scene was inspired by Mike's upbringing in very strict South African schools, where corporal punishment was part of day to day life. (If this is of interest, check out Mike's interview at the bottom of the scene page for more real-life details of corporal punishment in the 1960s.)

In this scene, it's not a naughty student getting spanked, but a fellow member of staff. Pandora Blake plays the naïve new teacher, keen to impose discipline but totally unfamiliar with the school's methods. So Mr Pain offers to give her a distinctive training session - using himself as the subject.

As Pandora eagerly asks for a demonstration of how to administer corporal punishment, Mike obligingly bends over the desk. First with his trousers on, he lets Ms Blake test her right arm by smacking him on the bottom with a slipper. As she spanks him, he gives her suitable encouragement, and tips about the best place to land a swat. But in the classroom, Ms Blake would use the slipper on the bare bottom - and so as they gradually grow more comfortable with each other, the headmaster pulls down his trousers and pants so Ms Blake can get the full experience.

So what's the twist? Well, in most corporal punishment scenes, the focus is on correcting poor behaviour. You'd expect a teacher administering discipline to be firm and professional – swinging carefully calculated strokes to proportionately match the seriousness of the misdemeanour. In this scene, though, not only is the beating not a punishment, there's an extra spark flying between Ms Blake and Mr Pain. It's a spark that I suspect many Dreams of Spanking fans will recognise, and it's that moment when you realise not only do you find this spanking thing incredibly hot, but the person you're talking to does as well.

It's a gorgeous twist on a traditional punishment scenario, mainly because I think so many people will empathise with it. It certainly takes me back to those moments when unwitting partners have playfully smacked me on the bottom only to see the lightbulb go on over my head - and recognise that this might just be the start of something we have in common.

Mike's reassuring instructions and encouragement as Pandora beats him with the slipper and the vicious wooden ruler really does it for me. The characters have different levels of spanking experience – headmaster Mr Pain is an old hand while Ms Blake is a spanking newbie – but in terms of enjoyment, you can tell they're equally into it. From the glint in Ms Blake's eyes as she exclaims over the bright red marks left by the slipper, to Mr Pain's glowing encouragement that she try a few more strokes - and his insistence that she simply must beat him as hard as she can. 'Maintaining Discipline' is a film with all the rituals of corporal punishment, and all the joy of a spanking for pleasure.

An officer and a gentleman

We've got a new military historical series running at the moment, shot on our location shoot in September and starring Thomas Cameron, Andrew Shada and myself - plus Nimue Allen in a forthcoming episode.

Havelock's Campaign is inspired by our favourite Napoleonic War fiction including the Sharpe books by Bernard Cornwell, and the Flashman series by George Macdonald Fraser, and centres around the character of Major Harry Havelock, a cavalry officer in Her Majesty's Hussars. This character of Tom's creation almost instantly became a firm favourite (especially of me and Nimue, who quickly developed big old crushes on him!), and Tom's skill as an actor, and passion for the period, shines throughout.

The first episode joins the officers the night before they ride out on campaign. Havelock congratulates new Lieutenant Shada on his promotion, and takes the opportunity to introduce the boy to the privileges of rank...

The New Lieutenant

Major Harry Havelock of Her Majesty's Hussars has been assigned a new Lieutenant, commission still squeaky-new. Lieutenant Shada requires introduction to the privileges of an officer and a gentleman: wine, wenching, and whipping! Havelock also takes the opportunity to provide the new Lieutenant with Flash Harry's patent method for domestic bliss: a brisk over-the-lap spanking and, if she needs it, a firm thrashing with the riding crop...

The fantasy of being given by one dominant to another is one I've always had. It combines helplessness and lack of control with the pleasures of being shown off, objectified, and being the centre of attention of two tops at once. When they are both hot young men in military uniform ... well, what more could a lady ask?

I also love being used as a "demonstration model" in a scenario where one top is training or teaching another. This is a theme we've visited before, such as in The New Head Girl. In that story, the "demo bottom" was entirely unhappy about the way she was being treated. My wench in this scene is a little more sanguine about her situation. Maybe she is resigned to her fate and determined to have what fun she can with it. Maybe she has grown fond of the Major and truly wants to please him. Maybe he has chosen well, and picked a girl who genuinely loves to be spanked and whipped. Either way, I enjoyed playing the character of a saucy girl, a tart who enjoys her work, and finds being a camp follower far more entertaining than the other roles available to a woman of her class.

As the scene progressed, I found myself increasingly empathising with her - if I had been in her situation, I would probably have done my best to end up in Major Havelock's tent, too!

The historical military setting happened to fall right within Andrew's comfort zone, and his first-shoot nerves evaporated as he slipped easily into the manners and jargon of the setting. Tom and Andrew developed a rapport on that shoot which really comes across in these scenes, and the behind the scenes videos are a wonderful opportunity to get to know shy Andrew a little better.

It was a good thing that Andrew grew to like and trust Tom over the course of the shoot, because Tom was topping him in his last scene of the day, a harsh riding crop thrashing. Andrew was exhausted by the end his first ever spanking shoot, and opted out of a final scene with him topping the wench (me!) which had been pencilled into the callsheet. But he was happy to go ahead with this one, and take one last beating before some well deserved R&R.

Military Discipline

During his first battle of the campaign, Second Lieutenant Shada was tasked with carrying a crucial message, but failed to carry out his duty after his horse stumbled and broke a leg. Major Havelock gives the young officer a firm dressing down, but takes pity and offers him a final chance to save his career. Rather than face a court martial, Shada must suffer the punishment of a cadet, rather than an officer, one last time, and bend over for twenty lashes from his superior.

For me, this scene revolves around two key elements. Firstly, Havelock's genuine affection for the boy, clearly evidenced by the fond exasperation with which he scolds him, and the fact he gives him an option at all. Humiliating and embarrassing as it may be for Shada to drop his trousers and take the punishment which would have been due were he still an ensign, and not, in fact, a newly minted officer, it is certainly better than the alternative.

Officers were not flogged in the British army - that punishment was reserved for the rank and file, and was significantly more brutal than what is shown here. Flogging was administered to the bare back with long leather whips, and a severe flogging could be a death sentence. However, young aristocratic ensigns and cadets, sent to the army or navy in order to be educated and prepared for a career in service, would have been caned by their superiors, just as if they had been at school.

In this story, Shada's character attended a military academy (Sandhurst or Addiscombe, probably) and so did not serve in the army as an ensign. If he had, however, and if he had been entrusted with a task which bad judgement or bad luck prevented him from carrying out, he might well have found himself on the receiving end of a thrashing from his commanding officer.

As a lieutenant he is supposed to have grown out of that sort of foolishness, and cannot now expect the leniency of corporal punishment. Havelock, however, has grown fond of the boy and believes he has promise. The punishment here is not only an embarrassing return to a juvenile mode, it is also a second chance, a gesture of affection, and one that the young lieutenant is willing to receive.

The second thing I love about Military Discipline, the key moment that makes it really hot for me, is when Havelock exhorts Shada to take his punishment "like the gentleman I know you to be". Shada nods, summons his courage, and takes twenty strokes hard enough to leave his bottom welted and bruised as stoically as he possibly can. Andrew's expressive features and body language make it clear how much it is hurting, but as he exhales and fights for control you can also tell that he is trying as hard as he can not to show it.

I love restrained reactions, courage and dignity in a spankee. It's not politically correct, but I find it especially hot in the context of male/male punishment, where gendered expectations are a factor and the bottom is trying to "man up" and retain their manly pride in the eyes of their disciplinarian. Andrew really felt this whipping, you can tell, but the hottest thing is the way he tries to be brave. And, I should add, succeeds: given this was his first ever spanking shoot, he really did do amazingly well.

This was the first set of the day and it was a beautiful summer morning, hot enough that we were both keen to get naked. We shot some amazing sets that day, and the sexual chemistry just kept on ramping up.

I think D looks fantastic in these photos. He's been working hard on his fitness the last couple of years, and I for one appreciate his improved lean physique. I frequently objectify him at home. Drunk and Disorderly

After a night in the cells, Vincent's obnoxious behaviour irritates the officer processing his paperwork so much that she decides to make his day a little more unpleasant. A strip search does him no favours, and he is given a choice: a lengthy court process culminating in eventual jail time, or judicial corporal punishment and a same-day release.

Thinking that a WPC can't possibly do that much damage, Vincent consents to the judicial caning. He is in for a hell of a shock. His big mouth earns him more and more strokes, leading to a total of 30 full-force strokes of the cane.

The Final Test

At the weekend our first severe caning film was released.  We've had hard canings before, of course - Caning Merit Badge and Caned in Jodhpurs spring to mind - but "severe caning" is pretty much a genre in itself, usually referring to judicial strength cold canings of 30, 40, 50 strokes or more. It seems to be particularly common amongst the Eastern European producers such as Lupus (whom Adele Haze has worked with), Mood Pictures and  Pain4fem (which is the studio with whom I filmed my only judicial level caning to date).

It's a controversial genre, with a lot of anxiety and misinformation about both the consent of the spankees and the wisdom and health concerns of this level of physical severity. Most professional spanking performers only indulge in this sort of scene occasionally, due to the healing time required afterwards, and the fact that very few people have the desire to play at this level frequently - for most of us it's an occasional adventure, not a regular thing.

German spanking bloggers Ludwig and Kaelah have more direct experience with the severe caning genre than most. Ludwig has topped for both Lupus and Mood, and is well known for his detailed shoot reports, dispelling the myths and horror stories with his matter of fact honesty about the realities of production. Ludwig's partner Kaelah does not share his kink for this level of severity, but nonetheless she was deeply curious about the experience. She decided to confront her fears and undergo such a caning herself, so that she could have an informed opinion about what it was like for the performers she had seen in other films.

The pair had previously shot a homemade film of Kaelah taking a severe 50 stroke caning, but Kaelah was not entirely satisfied with the results. She wanted to revisit the theme with a professional producer, to create a film she could be truly proud of.

Together they conceived the idea of a martial arts student ready to progress to the next level of her training, about to go on a life-changing journey to study with new, stricter teachers. She chooses to participate in a final inurement practice to prove to herself and others that she has the strength of character to endure such rigorous training. This test is not mandatory; rather she volunteers to undertake it, for her own reasons.

Kaelah and I both love the concept of severe corporal punishment undertaken consensually, with honour and self-discipline. As an experienced tai chi practitioner Kaelah was able to bring her physical skill and grace to the screen with a breathtaking performance that underpins her courage and self-control during the caning itself.

The resulting film, The Final Test, is strongly performer-driven. Two behind the scenes documentaries supplement the main feature, and both Kaelah and Ludwig have written in-depth blogposts about the experience of creating the film in their own words. Kaelah wrote, "I have seldom been as happy with a scene as I was and am with this one." The Final Test is focussed on the rite of passage of Kaelah's character, and the way she draws on her training and inner strength to endure the experience. Fifty full force cane strokes delivered straight from cold are not for the faint-hearted. But as you will see, Kaelah is anything but.

This photo was taken a few hours after the shoot, by which point the deep bruising is already visible. The welts are dramatic and beautiful, a must-see for marks fetishists, but perhaps beyond the comfort zone of many spanking enthusiasts.

This physical severity is why the consensual storyline, the emphasis on Kaelah's strength of will, and the behind the scenes material in which she explains her motivation for doing the shoot are all so important to me.

The Final Test achieves a lot of the goals I had in mind when creating Dreams of Spanking, and I am very proud of it. The things I love about this film are many, but here are just some of them:

  • The severity. This is actually the level of corporal punishment I fantasise about most of them time, although it's not practical to indulge in real life very often. Despite the asexual nature of the scene, and my cerebral focus on the technicalities of editing, I found myself physically aroused at the end of each working day while I was working on this film. Hey, I guess I must have some sort of corporal punishment fetish.
  • The strength of will shown by Kaelah's character. She's not submissive; she's totally in control of herself and of her situation throughout the film. It's inspiring for those of us who aren't straightforwardly submissive but still enjoy hard corporal punishment.

  • The focus on the performer's desires and motivations. Ludwig and Kaelah were closely engaged at every stage of the process. They wrote the storyline, which draws on Kaelah's tai chi skills in a highly personal, non-verbal and intimate way. The production as a whole is about Kaelah's emotional journey - both her character's rite of passage, and, in a way, her own in realising her ambition to have positive memories of shooting a consensual severe scene. The behind the scenes documentaries describe her motivations, reactions, thoughts and feelings throughout. I would love to see other severe producers picking up on this and releasing similar behind the scenes material with their films - when creating edgy, extreme or uncomfortable porn there are few better ways of facilitating transparency and trust.
  • Speaking of Kaelah's motivations, I found them complex and interesting. Her reasons for acting out this scene herself were not sexual; the shoot wasn't an erotic experience for her. Her vision for the film was informed by what she finds erotic to watch (ie. consensual scenarios, restrained reactions) but in bringing this idea to life her motivations were creative, not hedonistic. The sensations, extreme as they were, were simply a means to an end. I can identify with this to some extent, and I think it makes her perspective really unusual; her joy and satisfaction in this scene are not those of a thrill-seeker, but someone enduring physical suffering for the sake of long-term emotional gratification. Rather like her character!

  • Kaelah and Ludwig are both very much on the same page as me when it comes to transparency in ethical porn. They favour informed, enthusiastic consent and scenes in which the performers are expressing something true and heartfelt about themselves. They are thoughtful and articulate in their advocacy of these ideas, and the accompanying behind the scenes documentaries really benefit from their ability to express themselves clearly (in a second language, no less!). As you will see, the couple took a lot of care to construct the scene so as to create the genuinely severe film they wanted, without compromising Kaelah's emotional wellbeing or causing needless physical damage.
  • Finally, I am entranced by the beauty, grace and skill Kaelah shows in her tai chi sequences. She moves with the fluency and control that comes from years of experience. It's a joy to watch. (It's also very sexy - physical skill and grace both being extremely attractive!) Compare her movements and breathing during the tai chi katas with the way she uses her breath during the caning, using her exhales to ride the pain and retain absolute self-control throughout. The result is an awe-inspiring demonstration of physical discipline and inner strength.

I was a bit nervous about including the meditative tai chi cutaways during the caning scene, but I felt the caning was somehow too plain without it. I wanted to find a way to raise it to another level. It was a bit of a risk to interpolate martial arts shots into a corporal punishment scene, but I think it paid off. One reviewer has already said he appreciated the breaks from the intensely harsh caning. Personally, I find the tai chi sequences make the caning more intense by calling attention to the level of meditative focus required to endure it, and by creating a greater emotional engagement and empathy with Kaelah's character. They also provide a concentration break which renews your appreciation for the severity, the change of scene preventing you from getting used to the force of the strokes. 

The Final Test is released with two behind the scenes documentaries. In Part 1, 'Preparations', Kaelah discusses her motivations for embarking on her second severe 50 stroke caning film (her first with a professional producer). She and Ludwig talk about their thoughts and feelings prior to the shoot, where their idea for the storyline came from, and what they hope to achieve by creating this film. The couple also describe the medical precautions they are taking prior to the caning, and share their decision-making processes regarding the table, cane and position selected for the whipping. Kaelah and Tom practice some tai chi katas prior to the shooting of Kaelah's solo fan sequence. 

In Part 2, 'Making Of', Kaelah and Ludwig talk about their feelings immediately before filming commences, and we share intimate out-takes and behind the scenes footage from the severe caning sequence itself. Kaelah controls the pace of the scene and takes the pauses she needs, and even laughs and jokes between shots. Afterwards, Kaelah and Ludwig give a final interview describing their immediate reactions to the scene. Part 2 ends with out-takes from Kaelah's solo tai chi katas, and a closer look at the sword form.

The Condemned Playground

I've just read a haunting, compelling story about school corporal punishment called The Condemned Playground. Despite the title it's not a ghost story: it's about activism, rebellion, compassion and hope. It's an M/M spanking story, although the primary relationship in the story is male/female. It also evokes the chilling horror of real corporal punishment better than anything I've read since Roald Dahl's autobiographical stories.

It's so genuinely powerful that it almost leaves me feeling guilty about my spanking kink. But the moral argument of this story is against the non-consensual, brutal use of CP on children, and that is a world away from consensual adult fantasy.

Which is convenient, because this story is hot.

On that day when the boys of IIc were particularly unruly, Mme Maurais wrote four punishment orders - called "chits", or sometimes "chitties", slips of blue paper the size of a banknote. Halfway through morning French she called a boy up to her desk who had just struck the blackboard with a paper dart, barely missing her right ear. She took a blue chit from a small wad in her handbag. Under "Name" she wrote "R. Barrett". Under "Offence" she wrote "Repeated Misbehaviour". Under "No. of strokes" she wrote "2", and put a ring around the number. Then she signed and dated the chit with great firmness and handed it to R. Barrett. He returned to his desk with a grin while she made a great show of writing his name in her notebook. This was the first chit she had ever written, and she wanted the boys to know that she meant business.

R. Barrett now had twenty-four hours in which to "redeem" his chit, which meant turning up to one of three daily sessions in the Games Room where one of the two designated executioners - usually Mr Mackay, sometimes Mr Terris - would carry out any canings ordered for that day, enter the details in the punishment register and counter-sign the chits, which would then be distributed to the mailboxes of the teachers who wrote them. Mme Maurais could then cross R. Barrett's name off the list in her notebook. That was the administrative loop. What goes out must come back - a conveyor belt that processes forty orders a week needs an efficient bureaucracy. It was the circular paperwork of a beating factory.

I can't show you more, because I'll give away some of the twists, and this piece of fiction is delightfully surprising and too carefully crafted to spoil. Set aside an hour or so for it because once you've started reading, you'll probably find it hard to stop.
