In January, to protest the ridiculous and damaging new UK porn laws that were brought in on 1 December 2014, making it illegal for anyone in the UK to distribute videos online which would not be classifiable with an R18 rating by the BBFC, I ran a fundraising campaign. To generate cash for Backlash, the UK organisation dedicated to defending our sexual freedoms and providing legal support for those affected by laws like this, I pledged to take one hard cane stroke for every £10 raised.
The fundraiser was a runaway success, and even with Nimue Allen standing with me, we quickly reached our self-imposed maximum of 50 hard cane strokes each and had to recruit additional bottoms to help us out. Luckily, I know quite a few people willing to bend over and take a caning for a good cause.
Our team of brave volunteers included Ariel Anderssen, better known in the spanking scene as Amelia Jane Rutherford. She pledged up to 25 strokes - which were sponsored within hours! - and she and her husband Hywel Phillips also offered to donate a free caning video as a stretch goal reward. Ariel's Judicial Caning was produced as a custom film, and they were planning to release it as exclusive members-only content on their glamour bondage site Restrained Elegance. To support the cause, they promised to publish it free online instead if the fundraiser reached its target.
Alongside Dreams of Spanking and Nimue's World, Restrained Elegance is also hit hard by the new laws - when and if the law is enforced, they will have to take down substantial amounts of content featuring full bondage of both hands and feet with a gag, or perhaps stop trading entirely. Hywel and Ariel's site is an authentic depiction of their erotic and romantic lives, and all their films are safely and consensually produced by experienced bondage enthusiasts. It's a crying shame that this sort of positive, couple-oriented adult content stands to be taken offline in the name of "protecting children", when fetish porn can provide such a necessary role in helping young people with marginalised sexualities feel less desperate and alone.
The good news is that thanks to a surge of support from the kinky community, our fundraiser raised more than we ever expected - the final figure was £3836. As promised, Ariel's Judicial Caning was released last week. It's beautifully shot by Hywel on high-end cameras, and the film really captures the anticipation and tension of a severe caning, particularly Ariel's nervous body language as she strips for punishment. The marks are gorgeous, too.
As if that wasn't enough, we've been proud to host another guest update this week, too: Knowing by Michael Stamp and Zoe Page.
Mike and Zoe are a real life kinky couple, and for years they worked together on Mike's membership site Bars and Stripes, a female-submissive spanking series set in a women's prison. Bars was one of the first sites I worked for when I started out as a porn performer and along with their good friends Northern Spanking, with whom they often shared shoots, they set the gold standard for ethical production and taking care of their performers. When I worked for Bars, I was given the opportunity to write my own character, contribute scene ideas, and the shoots were tremendously good fun, with lots of cameraderie on set, yummy food and drink and post-shoot evening parties. Playing a recurring character allowed me to get really immersed in the roleplay, which made for a more satisfying shoot experience - and allowed us to go deeper and further in terms of the intensity than if we were less invested in the narrative. Working with tops who would quickly become close friends, including Mike, Northern Spanking founders Paul Kennedy and Lucy McLean, and later Zoe Page when she joined the project, made everything that much more enjoyable.
So I was really sad to learn that, as a direct consequence of the new UK laws, Mike had sold Bars and Stripes overseas, along with all his unedited content. Northern Spanking have done the same thing, and are now based in California. This is happening everywhere I look: producers selling up, relinquishing control of UK projects that had a hugely positive effect on the UK porn industry. When the shining examples of ethical, performer-driven production shut up shop or move overseas, where does that leave UK porn?
I'm getting increasing numbers of enquiries from porn performers looking for fetish or spanking work in the UK and wanting to shoot with safe, ethical producers. More and more sites are moving their production overseas, and there are fewer and fewer producers I am able to recommend to new performers.
Not to mention that UK sites closing down or selling up will reduce the amount of good content available to UK viewers, and the influence ethically produced fetish porn can have within the UK fetish scene. If ATVOD go ahead with their long-term plan to ban all overseas content that doesn't comply with their regulations from being viewed from within the UK, by blocking it using the UK internet filter, then eventually people in the UK won't be able to view this sort of content at all.
Which is why, when Mike and Zoe produced a new sort of spanking film, which premiered at the British Fetish Film Festival last month, they wanted to help our fundraiser any way they could. Mike no longer has editorial control of Bars and Stripes, so he couldn't donate any site memberships or members-only films as stretch goal rewards. But he did offer us this film.
Knowing is a short study in the anticipation a submissive feels when they know they are about to be punished. Created by husband-and-wife team Michael Stamp and Zoe Page, this shows a side of the normally dominant Zoe that we have never seen before. It's a beautiful piece of film-making, and I love the way sound is used to heighten the emotional tension. There's also something thrilling and teasing about the way that it ends just as a normal spanking film would be about to get started. I think it's beautiful, and I'm very grateful to Mike and Zoe for releasing it.

What do female ejaculation, full bondage with gags, face-sitting and spanking that leaves marks all have in common? They're all now banned in UK porn according to new laws that went into effect last week, the Audiovisial Media Services Regulations 2014.
These regulations apply the existing BBFC guidelines (controlling what can and can't be sold on DVD) to the world of online porn. In other words, an out-of-date set of restrictions to a medium few porn customers bother with anymore are, rather than being brought up to date, now being applied to the internet - the last bastion of freedom of expression for British porn.
The guidelines disproportionately affect acts of female dominance and female sexual pleasure, as well as banning all spanking and BDSM content that produces marks beyond those deemed "transient and trifling". This will affect every spanking site in the UK, and countless more British fetish and feminist porn sites besides.
Dreams of Spanking performer and independent Australian feminist porn director Zahra Stardust is writing her PhD on the legal regulation of pornography. She says, “Those of us who are making queer, feminist, and kinky porn are doing so as an act of civil disobedience, because we know from lived experience that the cost of censorship in our communities is too high. These laws actively produce a heterosexist, misogynist sexuality as ‘normal’, whilst pathologising and closeting practices that are actually life-affirming, consensual and meaningful."
These laws apply to publication, not possession. UK consumers can still legally still access porn produced and published overseas - for now (although expert obscenity lawyer Myles Jackman thinks this is the beginning of a sinister attempt to block foreign sites as well). Meanwhile hundreds of independent British porn producers are being criminalised, including every UK spanking site you can name. We, and many of our fellow fetish porn producers, stand to be closed down if we let this go unchallenged.

How does this affect us?
If Dreams of Spanking were to comply with these new regulations, we would have to take over half our scenes offline. Our future production would be heavily censored: we would never be able to film any spanking, caning, birching, belting or tawsing again - anything that resulted in welts or bruises. We would not be able to show any bondage with all four limbs bound as well as a gag. We would not be able to use any outdoor locations which someone might possibly have overlooked. Age play and school uniforms are problematic if there is any suggestion that the actor is playing a character under eighteen. Wrestling is problematic. And on and on.
Here are a select handful of scenes that we would have to delete if we chose to comply:
Drunk and Disorderly - Vincent's cane marks definitely go beyond "transient and trifling" in this judicial police caning scene.
Pandora's Belt Whipping Fantasy also fall foul of the new restrictions - never mind that the film explicitly shows my enthusiastic consent.
Our comic "hammer horror" parody Doctor of Pain features four-limb bondage with a gag - which according to the AVMS means that I, the director, was unable to signal my consent, despite the fact that a) I had written the scene, b) I could still waggle my fingers and bang my hands and feet, and c) I could in fact have spit the gag out and wriggled out of the rope if I'd wanted to - but I didn't.
The whipping Nimue orders her manservant to give her in My Lady's Pleasure is definitely banned - even though she is in control of the scene the whole time and telling him to go harder.
If these regulations are enforced, the only spanking scenes any UK producer will be able to make will be light hand spanking leading to a mild pinkness. No caning, no implements, no bruises, no welts.
Hywel Phillips, who runs UK glamour bondage site Restrained Elegance with his wife Ariel Anderssen (known to spanking fans as Amelia Jane Rutherford) thinks this sort of paternalistic censorship dismisses and denies the consent of porn performers. "The idea that the people who do this for pleasure, or for a living, cannot possibly know better than the father figure censor what is acceptable, what is safe practice, what they want to do and what they want to have done to them. This is called denying their agency- telling them that they cannot possibly know their own mind or make their own minds up."
Another potential casualty of these new regulations is free preview content. The censors want all adult content to be behind a paywall, so that children can't accidentally click through to it. If they start to take a close look at spanking sites, they will demand that we take down all our free video trailers and preview pictures that show spanking or nudity.
So what are we going to do?
First of all, we refuse to censor ourselves. Dreams of Spanking will continue doing business for as long as possible. We won't take half our archive offline pre-emptively, and we won't stop shooting the hot spanking scenes we want to - welts and all. If we are contacted by the censors with a demand to comply with the new regulations, we intend to challenge it.
We have always prioritised performer consent in our films, and you only have to take one look at our blog, performer interviews or behind the scenes videos to see that our films are made with love. All our cast members are genuine spanking enthusiasts, and our top priority on set is that everyone should be well looked after and have fun. We think it is ludicrous to ban depictions of consensual adult spanking, and we don't intend to go down without a fight.
However, we have taken legal advice and we're up for trying one or two things which might help our case. For instance, we've been advised that it might be a good idea to include performer consent in the spanking film itself, as well as in the surrounding contextual materials. So from now on, as well as publishing full-length out-take videos and performer interviews alongside each spanking film, we'll cut some edited highlights from the out-takes and interviews into the scene itself, so you'll get to see an introduction to our lovely performers before and after the in-character scene. Our latest two films, Provocative Housework and Curious Pleasures, are both examples of this new format.
This idea fits in to our existing ethos of being transparent and honest about where fantasy ends and reality begins, so we're happy to make this change if it will help viewers understand without a doubt that all our performers are consenting, kinky adults.
In refusing to self-censor, we aren't standing alone. A number of the Dreams of Spanking cast and crew have joined the outcry against these ridiculous new laws:
Is that it?
Far from it. This is only the beginning. These regulations are a worrying step on the path to total state censorship of the internet in the UK, and we need to work together to get them repealed - and prevent this harmful, worrying censorship of free expression from going any further.
Julian Huppert MP has tabled an early day motion requesting a debate on this issue - only two other MPs have signed it so far. The more MPs sign, the more likely this will be debated in the Commons. We think that if this issue is debated then we are likely to see change. The AVMS regulations were decided undemocratically by an unelected quango, and all the UK media coverage so far has been highly critical of the new law. We need to lobby our MPs to add their names to the motion in order to have a hope of getting this overturned.
So what can you do? Well, if you're resident in the UK, you can:
And if you aren't in the UK? Well, this will still affect you, as if British fetish porn producers are forced to comply with these regulations, you won't be able to watch our films any more.
You don't have to be in the UK to submit a complaint to ATVOD using their own complaints form. This form is intended to be used to complain about "inappropriate" TV content, which just makes re-appropriating it funnier. Let's spam them with complaints about their own regulations.
We at Dreams of Spanking believe that it is perfectly possible for adults to give informed consent to hard BDSM and spanking play, and to ethically create films depicting it. Our films are ethical, consensual, and an authentic expression of adult consensual kink. We refuse to be complicit in the state censorship of the porn we love, and we won't take anything down before we absolutely have to.
The only way we can keep on making the films you want to see is if we get these regulations overturned before we attract the notice of the censors. And we can't do it alone. Whether you are a Dreams of Spanking member or not, we need your help.

My ambition has always been to make artistic spanking films, real little movies with involved storylines, believable characters and attractive videography. Of course in the real world budget constraints and inexperience set limits on what is achievable. However, I within those limits, I still indulge myself from time to time with more complex and creative films such as Psychic Interrogation, Primae Noctis and Liberated Ladies of the Jazz Age. But there is always room for improvement.
It's very rare that I get the chance to really go to town, and bring a fantasy fully to life, exactly as I imagined it. One such opportunity was our shoot with premiere kinky producer couple Hywel Phillips and Ariel Anderssen, the stunning blonde actress better known to the spanking world as Amelia Jane Rutherford.
Hywel has been making fetish movies for over ten years, and when it comes to photography and filmmaking he's both a passionate artist and highly technically skilled. When we did a shoot trade with his glamour bondage site Restrained Elegance last year, he was generously shared his kit and expertise in the scenes for Dreams of Spanking.
I'd written a shooting script listing the shots we needed, but hadn't done any storyboarding - Hywel decided camera angles and other details on the fly, effectively acting as director of photography. He also masterminded the lighting, and it was a real treat to work not only with high quality lights, but someone who really knows how to use them. We were filming with the same baby Canon I always use, but you only have to glance at the screengrabs to see the difference that decent lighting makes to the video quality.
This storyline goes right back to the roots of my kink: one of my earliest kinky memories, a night when I was 7 or 8. I couldn't sleep, and was coming downstairs for a glass of milk. My parents had the TV on and I could hear it as I came downstairs, then glimpse the screen through the open door.
It was a period drama of some kind: I saw a girl in petticoats, lying facedown on a bed, screaming in terror as a man stood behind her, furiously thrashing her with a cane. I paused halfway down the stairs, heart pounding, barely daring to breathe. Suddenly I couldn't face my parents: I turned around, and sneaked back upstairs. They never knew I was there, and I can't imagine they ever suspected what I'd seen and the lasting effect it had on me.
(I recently looked on IMDB, out of curiosity, to see if I could find the program. I remembered the title from an advert showing around the same time, which I recognised from the snippet I'd seen, but now I honestly can't tell if it's this program of that name, or this one. I've never heard anyone else mention this caning scene and I'm not sure if I dare risk finding out that it was all - or mostly - in my fevered imagination.)
The image stayed with me for many years, and it was always one of the things I planned to revisit if I ever started making videos of my own.
A Ghost Story brings that historical snippet into a sinister modern day storyline. Amelia is a model staying at a quaint old B&B the night before a photoshoot. But her beauty sleep is disturbed by horrible dreams of Victorian times, mistreated girls and ghostly goings on. What secrets does this spooky old building keep - and can it really be haunted?
This is an atmospheric, evocative historical ghost story that merges past and present, dream and reality. Amelia gives an outstanding lead performance, and is a joy to watch throughout.
I really enjoyed editing this film and compiling the soundtrack from the excellent music of composer Kevin Macleod. It's a unique little spanking story in honour of All Souls that combines period drama, suspense and horror sequences and intense caning action.
I hope the end result is appropriately shivery and horrible, but of course the reality of shooting it was tremendous fun. Amelia is always a delight to work with and it was lovely seeing how well she and Hywel work together. I've just added behind the scenes videos to The Morpheus Club and our latest scene, Marital Discipline. I've written before about why I think behind the scenes material is so important on a kinky porn site:
Behind the scenes footage and out-takes are one of the most effective ways of demonstrating the consent of the performers. Video interviews and smiley post-shoot pictures are good, but I know from my own experience of shooting that even if you didn't really enjoy the shoot, you're expected to put on a smile for the camera at the end, and you're still in "work" mode, so you do. Candid behind the scenes footage is much harder to fake, and you can get a much better sense of the performer's personalities and level of involvement by watching it.
Briefly, here's what I'm trying to do with the behind the scenes stuff:
- Make it available as much as possible, especially in edgy scenes or scenes with spankees other than myself;
- Not publish anything which isn't flattering or respectful, or which compromises a performer's privacy;
- Make it honest, transparent, and publically visible rather than hiding it away on members-only pages.

I discovered a new Tumblr yesterday which sets out to do similar things: not show the production atmosphere of one particular site, but provide a space for the happy, goofy, silly side of BDSM rather than the serious theatre which most publishers focus on. As Dana leads Mike by one arm over her knee, I can't remember which person on set first calls out "Superman!" But after that, we have to pause shooting until everyone has stopped cracking up.
Of course no matter how much fun everyone's having, behind the scenes on a spanking video shoot isn't all smiles and laughter. There's a lot of thinking and logistics too, planning shots and dialogue and discussing what happens next. I found my early shoots very stressful and I'm sure that spilled over onto my performers to some extent, but I think I've come a long way since then, and this year's shoots have all been pretty laid back behind the scenes.
I've tried to represent the mood of the shoot fairly in all the behind the scenes videos I've published. Sometimes there isn't time to show you everything (I had three hours of behind the scenes footage for episode one of The Morpheus Club!), and sometimes there isn't much to show at all. But I think it's important to give you at least a glimpse of the performers' out-of-character moments. And I'm sure they'll let me know if they think I've rose-tinted anything!
The Morpheus Club: Pandora's Initiation was one example of a more stressful shoot - at least for me. Four actors, only one crew member, dozens of different shots, no storyboard and a director who was bottoming. This shoot was only ten months ago but I'd do it very differently now. But we did it, and the only person who got upset was me. Even after Hywel graciously took over directing responsibilities, I was still too uptight to relax into the CP, and wimped out during the final caning.
Eh, it happens. Everyone was great about it, and Amelia reassured me by telling me that bravery doesn't always work well on camera anyway. And I think she and Hywel had fun despite my fretting. You can watch it all in the behind the scenes video:
Pandora's Initiation: behind the scenes
24 minutes of behind the scenes footage, and that's even after editing! Laughter and cameraderie between takes, and lots of kinky negotiation and discussion as four enthusiasts collaborate to create a unique scene.
On this occasion, Pandora struggles to direct as well as act, and ends up asking the experience Hywel to step in and help her direct. But she still finds it hard to let go and relax into the scene, and has to ask for a break during the final caning. A candid, honest look at the difficulties, as well as the fun side, of improvised BDSM film-making.

Although Trish snapped some amazing candid photos, the behind the scenes video accompanying our latest film Marital Discipline is much shorter and sweeter. No stresses or difficulties on this shoot, thank goodness - everything went delightfully smoothly. We edited most of the shots in camera so there's not huge amounts to show you, but there's some chatter between takes and a couple of gigglesome moments. I filmed two interviews with Mike and Dana on that shoot which I'll publish as the other two scenes go up.
Marital Discipline: behind the scenes

I'm a little bit in love with the music in our newest film. I had a lot of fun editing this one, not least because that combination of powerful classical cello with more industrial rhythms is guaranteed to get me wet, regardless of whether it's accompanied by any sexy visuals. I don't know why, something about the vibrations perhaps. But it doesn't hurt that Amelia Jane Rutherford looks utterly gorgeous writhing under splashes of hot red wax:
The movie is called Pandora's Initiation, and is episode one of our new BDSM/spanking series, The Morpheus Club.
New slavegirl Pandora is nervous, untrained and intimidated by the experienced Amelia. She endures bondage, nipple clamps, humiliating inspections and punishment, culminating in a painful double caning.
So much happens in this 37-minute BDSM epic that there was no hope of me squeezing it all into the short scene description above. I decided to focus on my character's journey, but you only need to look at the tag list or trailer to get a sense of just how much else is packed into this movie. (The tag list is so long it almost breaks the page layout!)
Specifically, the scene description fails to mention any of Amelia's myriad kinky activities, including gruelling slavegirl postures, strapping, spanking, hot wax and a flogging on her back and bottom - all of which she submits to with sublime grace and poise.
This is one of my oldest fantasies. It's got a dark non-consensual edge (the implication that my character has consented to be enrolled in this establishment out of desperation, rather than because she is kinky) but otherwise it's absolutely classic. The idea is not original in the slightest: this scene has echoes in dozens of erotic novels.
I'm honoured to have had the help of the talented Hywel and Amelia in bringing this fantasy to life, and indebted to Hywel for his expertise behind the scenes, particularly in taking over the direction from me to allow me to concentrate on performance.
In our version of this classic concept, the Morpheus Club is an underground society with a faintly historical flavour. Members are kinky men and women with a range of tastes; all of them top, and some of them switch. Male and female 'pets' are recruited by fair means or foul - some are the equal partners of members who give full consent; others have less choice in the matter. Members have equal access to all pets, and training is undertaken collectively, but new pets are often mentored by their recruiter. As a natural consequence of the cast, this scene is pure M/F, but there's more to the Morpheus Club than that, and we'll see more of it in future episodes.
For me, the hottest parts during filming were the inspections, both kneeling before the Doctor, and exposed on all fours on the table with my new employers dispassionately discussing my body and reactions. That moment is the hardest part of this scene for my character, and undoes some of the confidence she gained during the bondage. This was the first time I'd played with Hywel (exciting!) and my nervousness about whether he'd find me pleasing was quite real. But I also had a lot of fun with the nipple clamps, slave training, picking things up in my teeth, and watching my handsome boyfriend flog beautiful Amelia. And, of course, the spankings!
Watching the finished film back, more things leap out at me. Amelia's hot wax sequence is one of the most glorious pieces of D/S play I've ever had the privilege to film. Her grace is just astonishing, and the genuine chemistry between her and Hywel is a joy to watch. Oh, and there are quite a lot of shots of both Amelia and I crawling on all fours with our bottoms in the air, which I hope some of you will enjoy.

I have long been fascinated with the idea of being beaten with the flat of a sword. When I realised I was shooting with two fencers, one of whom was experienced in professional fight choreography, the opportunity was too good to pass up. Sword-fighting and spanking go brilliantly together in my opinion (Drama! Action! Adventure! Swishy arm motions! Victory through physical dominance!) and I couldn't resist the chance to take advantage of Amelia Rutherford's expertise to include a wee duel in a spanking video.
In my fantasies, this sort of thing usually takes place in a historical or piratical sort of setting, so that would have been my first preference. But the swords we had access to were fencing foils and bokken, and we didn't have enough budget for full historical costume, so Tom came up with the idea of doing a comic book style superhero story instead. The Avenger's Return was born!
This 15-minute scene offers a window into a universe where superheroes are real and their training includes both martial arts and spanking. I play a naive and rather vain trainee who is being mentored by a combat-experienced superhero called the Highwayman. I'm more focussed on my shiny latex costume and complaining that I can't fly yet than my training, which earns me a series of punishments. First a hand spanking, delivered by the Highwayman while standing with me dangling over his knee, and then 8 firm strokes with the riding crop, all over my tight latex ballgown. (Latex doesn't lessen the pain of a spanking, but it alters it. It's a very interesting sensation; I recommend you try it sometime.)
My lesson is interrupted by the arrival of my nemesis, the Highwayman's infamous former protegée: the Avenger. I've heard all about how talented and brilliant she is but have never met her in person. She and the Highwayman cross swords and sharp words as they struggle for dominance.
I really enjoyed the chance to indulge my enthusiasm for watching beautiful people practice swordplay, and was very impressed by Amelia's fortitude as Tom striped her bottom with his steel fencing foil. A real sword is a heavy thing to hit someone with.

The marks were actually rather dramatic, red stripes visible even through her shiny black leggings. I wish we'd taken a photo of them, as they don't show up as well on video as they did in the flesh.
I'm very grateful to Amelia Jane Rutherford for her generous help choreographing the sword fight behind the scenes, as well as her outstanding performance as the Avenger; and to her fiancé Hywel Phillips for his work as cameraman, lighting tech and director. Their assistance was invaluable, and this scene couldn't have happened without them.
We had a lot of fun making it, as you can tell from the behind the scenes video. I hope it will appeal to anyone who likes comic books, sci-fi and fantasy, action and adventure, light-hearted spoofs and shiny latex outfits.

I had a lot of fun topping Amelia in this scene, and she looked utterly beautiful, innocent in white, against the rich scarlet brocade of the four poster bed. The stunning photography is by none other than Hywel Phillips, and working with the pair of them was a real treat.
This is the third update featuring Amelia, and although I didn't plan it that way, all three scenes published so far are from the last day of shooting.
We spent three days in total working with Hywel and Amelia last August. The first day I spent modelling for their site Restrained Elegance, shooting bondage video featuring interrogations, abductions, captured lady pirates and slavegirls playing kinky chess. The next two days we were shooting for Dreams of Spanking.
The four poster bed scene, Need to Know and Through the Bedroom Door were all shot on the third and last day of filming. All these scenes were fairly short and straightforward and I was topping in two of them, so it was fairly simple from my point of view. When you're also producing/directing, topping is so much easier than bottoming all day!
The fourth scene we filmed that day was a longer video, a horror/ghost story set in a haunted bed and breakfast. This is one of the more ambitious movies I've filmed so far and I'm waiting until I'm a little more confident at post-production before attempting to edit it. It involves nightmares, a haunted wardrobe, horrible Victorian thrashings and LOTS of drama!
Amelia is the star, with Tom and I playing cameo roles. I'd written a shot-by-shot shooting script, and Hywel was a director's dream, handling the lighting and camerawork calmly and expertly.
On the middle day, the first day shooting for this site, we filmed three longer videos. They were all very different in feel.
First of all, I'd written a light-hearted action spoof called The Avenger's Return, set in the world of superhero comics. I play a wannabe superhero whose training is interrupted by the return of her mentor's ex-protegée and arch-nemesis, The Avenger. It involved silly impractical costumes (my character is attempting to learn to fight while wearing a shiny latex ballgown!), an actual sword-fight choreographed by Amelia herself, whose many talents include fight choreography for the stage (both she and Tom are experienced fencers), and one of my personal all time top fetishes, a real, actual whipping with a real, honest-to-goodness sword.
The second film explored one of my oldest fantasies, borrowed from pretty much every erotic BDSM novel I've ever read: the initiation of a new slavegirl into the use of an exclusive gentlemen's club. Tom and Hywel were, of course, the gentlemen; Amelia played their well-trained pet; and I was the nervous new girl brought in off the street.
Lots of interesting dynamics arose between the four of us, and we had ample opportunity to explore our diverse kinky tastes, from bondage to slave training, human furniture, hand punishment, nipple clamps and hot wax. Plus plenty of spanking, whipping and caning, of course! The resulting scene turned into an almost feature-length film, which I'm hoping to release as a Valentine's special in a couple of weeks.
By contrast, the last scene of the day was very silly indeed.
I had an image in my head of a submissive hogtied on a dinner table, while guests calmly ate food off her. My shoulders aren't bendy enough to stay in a hogtie for a sensible length of time, so I asked Amelia if she'd be willing. She was. Somehow or another, I ended up volunteering to have dinner eaten off me too, bent over the end of the table rather than displayed in the middle of it. Thus the concept for the strangest suburban dinner party ever was born.
I spent ages trying to work out what sort of food to serve, something that would keep while we were setting up, and be edible without being too hot on the skin. In the end our chef, who specialises in confectionery, proposed that we set the scene at the dessert stage of the evening, and offered to provide us with a selection of cakes and puddings. I was a little reluctant to use cake, not wanting to borrow from the excellent Wheatley Manor by Northern Spanking, in which Niki Flynn is put naked on the table as punishment while the others eat cake off her. But eventually I agreed that it was more practical than any of the other options. To create variety, we decided to add in some fresh fruit, with bowls of whipped cream and chocolate ganache to dip them in.
Rather than the slightly edgy public humiliation film I'd envisaged, the resulting scene was a ludicrous, ultra-camp, messy fest of bondage, spanking, and lashings and lashings of whipped cream, chocolate and butterscotch sauce. It was divinely silly, utterly delicious, and I'm not quite sure the end result matches anyone's idea of porn exactly, but it was tremendous fun to do!
Later that evening I discovered the big cock-up: throughout the whole dramatic, unrepeatable scene, the microphone was not recording.
We had a backup camera running, which had picked up some sound, but the battery for this had died halfway through the scene too. What a nightmare! So we only have sound for the first half of this, and it stops - of all places - just as the canings begin. Up to then there's some spanking and beatings with a wooden spoon, but the scenario was silly enough to start with - without sound during the "main event" of the two-girl, two-top caning, it just wasn't viable.
Well. I'd been a little unsure that I'd be able to get away with this as a proper website update anyway: the mishap just made the decision easier. And it was a useful learning curve: since then I've been extra careful with my pre-shoot checklist to make sure I don't make the same mistake again.
We recorded some jolly behind the scenes chatter with Hywel and Amelia, talking over the part without sound like the Director's Commentary on a DVD extra, and I'll release it as a gallery of screengrabs and a bonus behind-the-scenes, outtakey sort of film. In a way, it's a blessing that the cock-up didn't happen to one of the more serious, more intense CP films.
I learned an awful lot working with such experienced filmmakers as Hywel and Amelia, and the time passed all too quickly. I very much hope they'll be back to work with us again. In the meantime I'm looking forward to sharing the rest of the scenes with you - the gentlemen's club and the ghost story in particular are two of my favourite films to date. I hope you like the results as much as we enjoyed making them.
